What we cannot take: we’re a storage facility, not a heavy haulage yard, so B doubles and road trains are out. If that’s what you drive, a dedicated hardstand yard is the better fit. Alongside trucks we store cars, boats and caravans at the same two sites.

How to Prepare a Truck for Long-Term Storage
Four things worth doing before a long stint off the road.
1. Wash It Down
Wash the exterior first. Road grime and dirt hold moisture against the paint and start rust over a long stint.
2. Fill the Tank
Fill the fuel tank, which leaves less air space for condensation to form in, and top up the fluids while you are at it.
3. Tyres and Chocks
Set the tyres to full pressure so they don't develop flat spots over a long stint, then chock the wheels.
4. Brake Off, Gate Locked
With the wheels chocked, leave the parking brake off so the shoes don't seize to the drums. Then park it behind a fence with CCTV and gated access rather than on the street.
