Caravan Storage Perth
Your caravan shouldn’t live on the verge. Parked out the front it’s an easy target, it bakes in the sun, and in plenty of Perth councils it isn’t allowed anyway. We store the van at two facilities, Gnangara north of the river and Jandakot south, so wherever you live there’s a site on your side of town.
- Drive straight through, never reverse the van
- Room either side to open the door
- Your own PIN, infra-red beams and CCTV
- Off the verge and out of the Perth sun
Bays Up to 12 Metres
Measured for the van and drawbar together
No Bond, No Admin Fee
Month to month, from as little as one month
Gates Open 365 Days
6am to 7:30pm, with 24-hour access on request

Why Store Your Caravan With Billabong?
Most yards make you back a caravan down a narrow aisle with someone out the window waving you along. Ours don’t. Both sites are laid out so you drive in and out without reversing: pull forward into your bay, unhitch, and leave it with us. No spotter, no three-point turn, no one working the mirrors for you.
We understand the van is a big investment and a lot of family history, so terms are month to month from as little as one month, with no bond and no admin fee.
What sets us apart
- You'll never reverse it in. Drive-through access at both sites, and Gnangara's biggest bays sit on a diagonal off the main driveway.
- Room for the whole rig. Bays run 10.0 x 3.0m to 12.0 x 3.5m, with room either side to open the door.
- Fenced, gated and watched. Infra-red perimeter beams, back-to-base CCTV 24/7 and a PIN code that's yours alone.
- Go when you want to go. Gates open 6am to 7:30pm, 365 days a year, with 24-hour access on request.
- Staff who size it with you, whether that's the caravan, the car, a trailer or a boat.
Features of Our Caravan Storage
What a purpose-built bay gives you that the verge or the driveway never will.
You'll Never Reverse It In
Both sites give you drive-through access, and Gnangara's biggest bays sit on a diagonal off the main driveway.
Room for the Whole Rig
Bays run 10.0 x 3.0m to 12.0 x 3.5m, measured for the van and drawbar together, with room either side to open the door.
Fenced, Gated and Watched
Secure fencing, infra-red perimeter beams and back-to-base CCTV running 24/7.
A PIN That's Yours Alone
Your own code on the gate, so nobody reaches the van without going through it.
Go When You Want to Go
Gates open 6am to 7:30pm, 7 days, 365 days a year, public holidays included, with 24-hour access on request.
Hitch up early and get on the road before the traffic.
Staff Who Size It With You
The team on site will work out the bay with you, whether that's the caravan, the car, a trailer or a boat.

Why You Need Billabong Self Storage
Purpose-built facilities designed for the easiest possible storage experience, north and south of the river.
No Stairs
Drive-up access at ground level. Nothing to carry up a flight of stairs.
No Lifts
Open your bay and load straight off the tow ball. Nothing squeezed into a lift.
No Long Walks
Pull up at your bay, not out the front followed by a hike across the facility.
No Hidden Fees
No admin fees when you sign up and no bonds. The quote you get is the price you pay.
Caravan Unit Sizes
Find your van below, or call either site and the staff will size it with you.
Standard caravan
Most family touring vans, within 3 metres across. Boats fit this bay too.
Wider van
Full-width tourers and anything more than 3 metres across the body.
Wide van, easiest tow-in
Same width again, on a diagonal off the main driveway. Straight in, straight out.
Long rig or motorhome
Our longest bay, for vans and rigs up to 12 metres end to end.
Every bay is measured for the van and drawbar together, with room either side to open the door. Measure from the tip of the coupling to the spare wheel, and take the widest point of the body. If you are between sizes, go up.
How to Store Your Caravan
Put it away clean and dry, and it will be ready when you are.
1. Empty It and Air It Out
Empty the fridge and water tanks, take the food out, and leave the fridge door ajar so it doesn't go musty. Crack a roof vent for airflow.
2. Gas Off, Battery Out
Close the valve on the gas bottle, not just the appliances inside. Then disconnect the battery: even with everything switched off, the 12V system keeps drawing a small current, and a lead-acid or AGM battery that is left flat can be damaged permanently.
3. Tyres, Chocks, Jockey Wheel
Check the tyres are at full pressure, chock the wheels, and wind the jockey wheel onto a plate rather than bare gravel.
4. Cover It, Lock It, Leave It
Fit a breathable caravan cover rather than a tarp, add a hitch lock, then park it behind a fence with CCTV and gated access. Not on the verge, where it is exposed and in many Perth councils not permitted.
Open Hardstand, Undercover or Enclosed?
Caravan storage Perth-wide comes in three forms, and the right one comes down to how often you use the van.
Open Hardstand
The most affordable caravan storage, roughly $50 to $150 a month across Perth. This is what our bays are.
Undercover
Sits above hardstand on price for the weather cover it adds. Does what a cover does, without the fitting.
Fully Enclosed
Costs the most of the three. We have enclosed units available for the car that tows it.

Frequently Asked Questions about Caravan Storage in Perth
How much does it cost to store a caravan in Perth?
What you pay comes down to three things: the size of the bay your van needs, which facility you store at, and how long you keep it there. Open-air hardstand is the most affordable option in Perth, undercover sits above it for the weather cover it adds, and fully enclosed space costs the most.
Billabong Self Storage bays are month-to-month with a one-month minimum, no bond and no admin fee, so a short stint between trips costs no more per month than a long winter.
What is the best way to store a caravan?
Put it away clean and dry. Empty the fridge and water tanks, take the food out and leave the fridge door ajar so it doesn’t go musty. Close the valve on the gas bottle, not just the appliances inside, disconnect the battery, and leave a roof vent cracked for airflow.
Then check the tyres are at full pressure, chock the wheels, wind the jockey wheel onto a plate rather than bare gravel, and fit a hitch lock. Park it behind a fence with CCTV and gated access, not on the verge where it is exposed and, in many Perth councils, not permitted.
Should I disconnect my caravan battery when in storage?
Yes. Even with everything switched off, the 12V system keeps drawing a small current for things like the gas alarm and radio memory. Over a few weeks that flattens the battery, and a lead-acid or AGM battery left flat can be permanently damaged.
Disconnect the negative terminal at a minimum. Better still, take the battery home and keep it on a trickle charger.
Should I cover my caravan in storage?
In an open-air bay, yes. A breathable fitted cover shields the roof, seals, decals and tyres from UV and rain, and that protection is what holds resale value on a van parked up for months.
Use a proper caravan cover rather than a tarp. Tarps trap moisture underneath and chafe the paint every time the wind gets up. Make sure the van is clean and dry before you fit it, or you seal grit against the duco. Undercover storage does the same job without the fitting, at a higher monthly rate.
